CUT ME UP Mixed Messages

Monica’s collage, Fuck Putin (Blue), is one of 18 artworks in CUT ME UP: Issue 14, Mixed Messages selected by curator Aaron L. Beebe. Beebe was looking for collages that combine images and text to explore the intersections of language, perception, and the inherent gaps in understanding that often arise in communication. CUT ME UP is a participatory magazine of visual call and response founded by Andrea Burgay. Each issue presents a curated selection of original collage images that will become raw material for reader-artists to respond by cutting, reconfiguring, and transforming them into new artworks, in response to curatorial calls addressing contemporary issues.
